Total 193,005 views across 35 reels. Average 5,514, median 4,574.
The top clips are moments of honesty: Tommy Herschell, the "why we share our stories" snippet, Connor Hogan's mates.
Reels co-posted with Ben Alexander's account reach his followers as well as R4R's.
The Canberra Marathon weekend and the Sunrise feature show the size of the community.
"Out now" and event posts ask people to do something before giving them a reason to care.
| Video | Views | Posted |
|---|---|---|
| R4R's story | 1.7K | 4 years ago |
| Episode 1, Ben Alexander and Matt Breen | 583 | 1 year ago |
| The Conversation Every Parent Needs To Hear | 361 | 6 months ago |
Each one is based on what R4R's own numbers show is already working.
Story clips average about 10,800 views, "out now" posts about 2,300. One episode can feed a week of reels.
4 of the top 7 reels were co-posted with Ben's account. Invite every guest and partner as a collaborator so the reel appears on their profile too.
The Marathon weekend got 13.3K. Next up: the Fun Run on 1 November, Stromlo on 14 and 15 November, and the 7th birthday on 9 December.
The Tommy Herschell clips drew about 31,600 views on Instagram, the full episode 266 on YouTube. Use a Story link sticker and the bio link: "Watch the whole conversation on YouTube".
"The Conversation Every Parent Needs To Hear" (361) beats "Episode 2" (299). Lead with the question or the story, and use clear thumbnails with a face.
Shorts now get under 20 views each. Use the clips that already worked on Instagram, link each to its full episode, and make "R4R's story" (1.7K) the channel trailer.
Next steps for the message itself, using what reaches people now.
A runner, volunteer or guest in their own words, ending on the same line every time: "Suicide-free Canberra by 2033." Stories are what travel furthest on R4R's accounts.
Region and HerCanberra already cover R4R, and the Sunrise feature reached 12K on Instagram alone. The 7th birthday on 9 December is the next natural hook.
The Dock, The Jetty, UC, Two Before Ten and each guest have their own audiences. Co-posting puts the message in front of all of them at once.

For a movement, a chart spot is free reach: the charts are where new listeners browse.
Apple and Spotify don't publish their formulas, but both are widely understood to favour new followers and listens in a short window. Spreading asks across months wastes them. Concentrating them in one week is what lifts a show.
The biggest night of the year, a reason to celebrate, and the Christmas period when the subject matters most. Release a strong guest episode that Monday.
Ask everyone at that week's runs to tap Follow on Apple or Spotify and leave a rating. Use one QR code on signs and bibs that opens a simple page with two buttons, Follow on Apple Podcasts and Follow on Spotify, so people land in the app they already use. Say it from the front at every run.
Past guests include Jake Trbojevic and the AIS chief medical officer. Their followers, plus The Dock, The Jetty and UC, all pointing to one link in one week.
A chart spot fades without new episodes. Keep the weekly rhythm from September, and avoid gaps like January and July.
Charts are checked against R4R's position the week after. Plays and follower numbers are only visible to R4R in Spotify for Creators and Apple Podcasts Connect: To confirm with them.
Australians search for "run club" about three times as often as they did in late 2021. Searches for R4R by name are too few for Google to chart, so most people find it by word of mouth and Instagram.

It shows whether wellbeing improves without anyone disclosing anything personal. Don't collect individual mental health details: it's sensitive health information, and it puts trust at risk.
