Things working against him

As with the other tracked clients, none of these are content-quality problems. They're distribution, reach and findability problems, which means they're fixable without changing his voice or his portfolio focus.

His second-biggest platform is still the weakest on engagement

MissFacebook: 70,000 followers, 0.45% engagement this pass, the lowest of his three main platforms

Facebook trails both Instagram (0.68%) and X (0.67%) despite reasonable reach, and his one sampled Facebook post this pass (the Red Lines Package story) got fewer comments than likes would suggest for a policy story that size. That's consistent with a platform that isn't getting content adapted specifically for it.

Fix

Check whether Facebook posts are a like-for-like repost from Instagram or X rather than reframed for that audience, and confirm the Page's own settings aren't limiting organic distribution.

Strong engagement rate doesn't yet translate into raw reach

MissAll three of his sampled posts rank outside the Content Performance top 20 (Instagram #23, X #27, Facebook #29), despite ranking inside the Real Engagement top 20 on all three

This is a reach ceiling, not a quality problem: his content converts followers into engagement about as well as anyone tracked, it just doesn't have enough followers yet to compete on raw numbers with nationally prominent accounts like Albanese's or Hanson's.

Fix

Pair his highest engagement-rate posts specifically with a deliberate distribution push (cross-platform simulpost, or a modest paid boost) rather than spreading effort evenly across everything he posts.

What's actually working

Real Engagement standing is genuinely competitive

All three sampled posts land in the Real Engagement top 20 of 35, out-performing several much bigger accounts on a per-follower basis

His X row is the standout signal: 136 shares against an average of 321 likes, a share ratio well above most other tracked accounts, meaning that post travelled substantially past his own 50,500 followers. Combined with the organic #auspol chatter below (his own clip is currently the #2 most-liked post in this week's #auspol conversation on X), the evidence points the same way: the content is working, the follower base just hasn't caught up yet.

His committee work is landing in national coverage, not just on his own channels

Directly quoted in national reporting on his own Senate Youth Justice Inquiry report, published the same week as this pull

The inquiry's final report, released 18 September, had him on the record: "Politicians who want to keep communities safe should be following the evidence, not the panic." That's a genuine substantive win, evidence his committee work earns coverage independent of his social numbers, and exactly the kind of moment worth turning into native content rather than letting it exist only as press coverage (see Idea 1 below).

TikTok is already a genuine strength, not a gap that needs building

47,000 followers and 1.2M total likes, verified live on the profile. His second-biggest platform, ahead of X and closing on Instagram

Last pass this account was flagged as an untracked opportunity; verifying it directly this pass shows it's well past that stage. It's already sizeable, already active, and already built on exactly the short, single-point Estimates-clip format that performs best on the platform. The only remaining gap isn't a content one: it's that the leaderboard's own tracked figures still show zero for this account, a reporting blind spot for the studio rather than something for him to fix.

Social Trends

Live-pulled 9 September 2026 from X's own Trending tab, the #auspol hashtag search, r/australia + r/AustralianPolitics, and real Facebook post engagement, ranked by score or likes. Contested a Senate floor ballot against Pocock for the single crossbench seat on the new AI Joint Select Committee. Playbook's account describes an earlier round where Labor was reportedly willing to give the Greens a seat, just not to him; on the floor it came down to an open vote between the two crossbenchers insteadLost 12 votes to Pocock's 49, after a one-minute floor speech calling the single-seat arrangement "a bloody outrage" and a "stitch-up," and withdrawing an unparliamentary remark about the House. Not a flattering headline, but exactly the granular, unspun floor-level detail a generic media monitor wouldn't catch, a real data point on where he currently sits in the crossbench pecking order17 Sep 2026
The Canberra TimesAt a parliamentary joint committee hearing into the National Anti-Corruption Commission, pressed acting commissioner Kylie Kilgour until she confirmed more than half the agency's senior staff, including the commissioner and CEO roles, are acting rather than substantive appointments, then told her: "That speaks to an organisation in a bit of a mess, doesn't it?"A clean, unpaid accountability moment: real committee work producing a genuine finding that made news on its own merits, independent of his social channels, the same kind of substantive credibility evidence already credited to him for the Youth Justice Inquiry in the Balance section above18 Sep 2026

What's happening across NSW

He represents the whole of New South Wales, not a single electorate, so this section is built differently to the ACT-only version in the Pocock briefing: it mixes NSW state politics with his own recent federal activity in the portfolios (Justice, Immigration, Foreign Affairs, Digital Rights) most relevant to NSW voters. Researched 21 September 2026 from ABC News, SBS, Greens NSW and Senate Hansard.

New: channel-level YouTube & TikTok data

Added 21 September 2026 from a direct check of his own channel and account. He doesn't run a traditional podcast, so this section replaces the Spotify data used in the Pocock briefing: his video presence is built entirely from Senate Estimates and committee-hearing clips rather than a produced show.

Where to point content this week

Two lanes: what to actually post about, and how often to post it. Both are built directly from the combined news and social trends research above, plus what the stats show is and isn't working for him.

Content ideas: what to post
IDEA 1

Use the youth-justice split-screen: his own inquiry vs. NSW's bail crackdown

His own Senate committee's Youth Justice Inquiry landed 18 September with him quoted directly: "Politicians who want to keep communities safe should be following the evidence, not the panic." The same week, NSW extended its own strict youth bail laws to April 2028, the exact kind of policy Greens NSW has called harmful and evidence-free. That's about as direct a contrast as his justice portfolio will get this year.

A short video walking through the inquiry's actual findings next to the NSW bail extension does more for his justice credibility than either story told alone.
IDEA 2

Turn the migration Senate speech into a native clip

On 16 September he told the Senate that Labor is racing One Nation to the bottom on migration and deportations, comparing the tactics to US ICE-style crackdowns. That's a sharp, quotable line already on the parliamentary record; it hasn't yet become a native social post in his own voice.

Clip the strongest exchange and post it natively rather than waiting for a third-party channel to do it first, see the YouTube section above for why that matters.
IDEA 3

Frame the veterans cap backdown as a crossbench win, not a solo one

The government's backdown on the $5,000 veterans allied-health cap is also in the Pocock briefing this pass; both crossbenchers welcomed the same reversal within a day of each other. A post that credits crossbench pressure generally, not just his own advocacy, is a stronger and more credible framing than either posting about it alone.

"The crossbench did this together" reads better than "I did this," and it's also just the more accurate version of events.
IDEA 4

Repost the clip that's already trending, natively

@madwixxy's clip of his speech quoting Albanese is currently the #2 post in this week's #auspol chatter on X at 985 likes, ahead of most professional political accounts. That's real, unpaid evidence his committee content travels; the fix is making sure his own channels carry the full clip natively rather than only existing as someone else's repost.

This is the single clearest piece of demand evidence in this whole briefing, it should shape what gets clipped next, not just this one moment.
IDEA 5

Lean into the newly-confirmed Digital Rights & AI portfolio

He was confirmed as the Greens' Digital Rights and AI spokesperson on 7 September, the same week a foreign AI-driven disinformation network targeting Australian politicians was a top-10 political story on Reddit, and the leaderboard's own Google Trending board shows AI-related search terms rising generally. That's a genuine, current opening in a portfolio he now formally owns, and one under-represented in his current content mix next to justice and immigration.

A short explainer on what this actually means for ordinary people, not a policy statement, is the format that's worked for other tracked clients' AI content this pass.
Tips: platform fixes
TIP 1

Fix Facebook before posting more there

Facebook is his second-biggest platform by reach (70,000) but the weakest by engagement of anywhere he's active, at 0.45%, below Instagram's 0.68% and X's 0.67%. Before increasing posting volume, check whether Facebook content is a like-for-like repost from Instagram or X rather than adapted for that platform and audience, and whether Page settings are limiting organic reach.

Same diagnosis as the other tracked clients this pass; more volume into a suppressed feed won't fix a distribution problem.
TIP 2

Use TikTok's proven format to fix Facebook, and get it into the studio's own tracking

TikTok isn't a build-it-from-scratch problem any more: it's his second-biggest platform, verified, active, and already running on exactly the short, single-point clip format that works. Two concrete follow-ups instead: feed that same proven format to Facebook, his genuinely weak platform (see Tip 1), rather than treating the two as separate content strategies; and flag internally that TikTok needs adding to the leaderboard's own tracked figures, which still show zero for this account.

This turns an already-solved platform into the fix for an unsolved one, instead of spending more effort on the one that's already working.
TIP 3

Give his own YouTube channel the titling treatment that already proves out on his content

Independent outlets, The Financial Express, News24, Deepcut News and Australian Community Media, are already finding, re-cutting and booking his committee and public moments, proof the material itself lands with audiences beyond his own subscriber base. Matching that same punchier titling and thumbnail treatment on his own tracked channel captures more of that upside directly, instead of leaving it entirely to outlets he doesn't control.

He doesn't need different content, he needs the same content packaged the way it already succeeds elsewhere.
TIP 4

Pair strong engagement-rate posts with a deliberate push to close the raw-reach gap

His Real Engagement numbers are genuinely competitive; his Content Performance numbers aren't, because his overall reach is smaller than the nationally prominent accounts that dominate a raw-likes table. Since the content isn't the problem, the fix is distribution: a modest paid boost or a deliberate cross-platform simulpost on his highest engagement-rate posts specifically.

Idea 1, the youth-justice split-screen, is the strongest current candidate to test this on.
